It is well known that the Fatimi Imams were ardent promoters of architecture and calligraphy. The Fatimi Imams have left a rich historical and cultural heritage.
The first important landmark of Aqa Maula's (TUS) prowess in the field of architecture is the mausoleum "RAUDAT TAHERA" to mark the revered memory of Al Muqaddas Syedna Taher Saifuddin Saheb (R.A.). The concept, design and dimensions were conceived by Aqa Maula (TUS) and explained to the architect. Raudat Tahera depicts Fatimi art and architecture at its best. It is only one of its kind in the world of Islam, where the Holy Quran is inscribed and the 114 Bismillahs are adorned with precious and semi-precious stones. Hence by this feat Aqa Maula (TUS) has immortalized the Quran. Today, it is considered as the wonder of the world and attracts visitors from all over.
The Mausoleum of Syedna Hatim (R.A) at Hutaib Mubarak, Yemen was built by Aqa Maula (TUS) and the building of the road leading to the Roza is credited to him. The Roza Mubarak of Syedna Jalal Shamshuddin (R A) at Ahmedabad and the marvelous Qubbah Badriyah at Jamnagar are built by him.
Aqa Maula (TUS) has generously contributed in the advancement of the Fatimi architecture and calligraphy. A gold and silver zarih was dedicated by him at Rasul Hussain (A.S.) in Cairo, which was built by Al Muqaddas Syedna Taher Saifuddin Saheb (R.A.). The zarih at Maulatena Zainab (A.S.) in Cairo has been built by him. The zarih of Maulatena Ruqaiyah (A.S) built by Aqa Maula was presented on the auspicious occasion of Imam-uz-Zaman's Salgirah. The making of the zarih at Ruoos-es Shohoda and Makame Rasul Hussain in Syria are all acts of a staunch believer of Panjetan Pak and Aimmat Tahereen. The Shahadatgah of Maulana Ali (A S) in Kufa was adorned with a glittering gold and silver zarih presented by Aqa Maula (TUS). These are some of the many of the great accomplishments of Aqa Maula (TUS).
Masjids have been established, renovated and refurbished by Aqa Maula (TUS). Al-Jame al-Anwar in Cairo is an outstanding example of a Masjid renovated by Aqa Maula (TUS) and restored to all its pristine glory, after a period of over one thousand years of neglect and misuse. After completion of Al Jame Al Anwar, azeem Barakaat has been showered on the Dawoodi Bohra community and we have all gathered abundant blessings and continue to do so. By the Barakat of Al Jame Al Anwar, Allah has enabled us to build many more Masjids and add to the Fatimi heritage. Al Jame Al Akmar, Al Jame Al Lulu and Al Jame Al Juyushi in Egypt have been renovated by Aqa Maula (TUS) and the Iftitah of the Masajids was recently done by him on 1st Rabiul Akhar 1416. The rededication of Selmiyah- Shaam Masjid is part of this great movement of restoration.
Aqa Maula (TUS) is the first Dai who inspired the building of Masajids in the western hemisphere. The Masjid in Toronto, Canada and the Masjid in Detroit, America were dedicated by him. Presently, the Masjid in London, U.K is nearing completion. The foundation for the Chicago Masjid has been laid by him and the foundation for the Houston Masjid was laid by his dear son Shahzada Ammar Bhaisaheb Jamaluddin Saheb and they are expected to be completed soon, Inshaallah!
